![]() Monika Brooks is a community member and advocate for literacy, racial diversity and autism awareness in the Bay Area through interactive community building. A champion of equity, She is the founder of the Mocha Autism Network, in which she works to spread awareness of autism within Communities of Color. Monika has regularly utilizes new media platforms to advocate for her community. She has served in many avenues in the media space including serving as a producer, radio personality, moderator and subject matter expert for Diversity, Equity and the importance of Black women in the activist space. A member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in which she serves as the Autism Awareness Coordinator for the Pacific Region, Monika holds a Bachelor's Degree in the area of Black Studies from San Francisco State University's College of Ethnic Studies. She is currently the Minister of Youth Development & Leadership at the Museum of Children's Art in Oakland, CA. |
