  Monika Brooks is a community member and advocate for literacy, racial diversity and autism awareness in the Bay Area through interactive community building. A champion of equity, She is the founder of the Mocha Autism Network, in which she works to spread awareness of autism within Communities of Color. 

​Monika has regularly utilizes new media platforms to advocate for her community. She has served in many avenues in the media space including serving as a producer, radio personality, moderator and subject matter expert for Diversity, Equity and the importance of Black women in the activist space. 
 
A member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in which she serves as the Autism Awareness Coordinator for the Pacific Region, Monika holds a Bachelor's Degree in the area of Black Studies from San Francisco State University's College of Ethnic Studies. She is currently the Minister of Youth Development & Leadership at the Museum of Children's Art in Oakland, CA.
